The demolition derby was very disappointing due to a lack of entries. There was one lame ass, 3 car figure-eight race, one “heat” of 6-cylinder cars, one “heat” of 8-cylinder cars and the feature which involved whomever could get there cars running again. I HOPE the South Mountain Fair Demo Derby next Friday is a lot better!

First off, thanks a lot Angel and Phil for the super job of catching all the codes last night. I see that at least Angel was rewarded with a payday from McCully on his last day at Chez. It made up nicely for his prank on Thursday, didn't it?! :-)

Third, regarding Navan Fair, the turn-out was impressive! It was good to see you again, Mr. Red, and meet some of the RadioWall blog members (Summer, CanOpener, and TVA). BTW, Mrs. E. says that your new haircut suits you well, Mr. Red, so you can take that to that bank! (After that, I don't know what you are supposed to do ... ha ha!)
Fourth, geez, I wish Trooper would have started at 9pm so I could have got home before midnight. The warm-up act was pretty much a cover band as far as I could tell/hear and took up a full hour of valuable time. Then, more than 30 minutes of monkeying around passed before Trooper finally came out (after 10:30). There was a shaky start on the first song for some reason (a few lines of lyrics were inaudible) but they played a lot a great songs, many of which I had forgotten over the years even though I bought their albums way, way back in the day. We had to depart while they were playing my favourite of theirs (Santa Maria), but paused to hear it out, and while walking back to the car parked at the Royal Bank (so many peeps missed this golden parking spot! LOL!), we could hear, clear-as-a-bell, their classic "Pretty Lady" being played. I suspect that they closed with "Raise A Little Hell" as they were teasing with its musical sequence quite a few times before launching into other songs.
Last, but not least, where were ye, Critic?! I looked and looked. I alerted Mr. Red, CanOpener, and (I believe) Summer that you would be wearing a green, Moosehead-Beer cap. And they looked and looked (at least, I think they did!). All of this was to no avail. :-(
P.S. One thing I found funny tonight is that most of us (on the blogs) do not have a clue what anybody else looks like for such meetings of radio-blog friends, but also we don't ask for clues! I gave a "cap" tip a few days ago to Reggae and other peeps, and when he spotted me at the movie, I was very surprised that he had an entourage of Angel, Betty Anne, and Flash29 who also wanted to say "Hi!". That was quite fun! :-)
Anyone taking bets on service being the next bonus code?? lol
@ Phil - Regarding the fair, I have to agree with Mr. Red on the derby. The demolition area was quite small. However, they made the best with what they had and there were some good moments of smashing and crashing! The highlight was seeing Trooper of course but they should have skipped the warm-up act. Trooper sounds pretty much as they did over 30 years ago, which is good!
