On This Day In Canadian History.... 1900 - Berliner Gramophone Co. of Montreal registers the famous dog and gramophone symbol, His Master's Voice as the company's Canadian trademark. Three of the four major global record companies have units which can trace their ancestry to Berliner Gramophone, Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and EMI.
