On This Day In Canadian History....

1927 - Canadian born film producers, the Warner Brothers, premiere the world's first talking film, The Jazz Singer, starring Al Jolson; not a true talkie, with only 291 spoken words, but the first to integrate sound and dialogue into a story through the Vitaphone disk process.
