1969 - Royal Canadian Navy retires aircraft carrier HMCS Bonaventure after 12 years of service; later sold for scrap.

Under the category of "It's a small world...err...navy", my late uncle Bernie Dubois and the father of my friend Karen Heppel served aboard the "Bonny" until it's decommission.
