1967 - Expo 67 breaks attendance record of 42,973,561 set at the 1958 World's Fair in Brussels.
As an aside.....in 1979, the aging grounds of Expo 67 and "Man and His World" made an appearance on the science fiction series "Battlestar Galactica" in the episode, "Greetings From Earth".
