Good early morning all

The comedy show was so-so last night at Bluesfest but Great Big Sea was a real crowd pleaser.

Keith Urban will probably draw the bulk of the crowd Saturday night. However, I'll have to opt out for one of my favourite cover bands: The Musical Box. If you like 1970s Genesis like I do, you have to check these guys out. They do meticulous re-creations of Genesis's past concerts. Their musicianship is phenomenal. You can listen to a video/audio sampling here:

As additional endorsement, this info was available at the above URL:

"The original members of Genesis have been very supportive of the Musical Box. Genesis provided them with original slides to use as part of the shows and handed over original recordings so the Musical Box could learn the musical parts. Steve Hackett (also appearing at the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest) and Phil Collins have appeared on stage with the Musical Box, and Peter Gabriel (the original lead singer for Genesis) has taken his children to see the group so they can experience what their father had done in the past. Currently the group is touring as the Trick of the Tail era Genesis—the first tour to feature Phil Collins as the lead singer of the group."

@ PharmerPhil ... Good to finally meet you last night! (I still think you should lobby to get your band into Bluesfest before it's over.)

Note for others: I saw the legend Phil working like a dog (I would say a sled dog, because most other dogs don't work that hard [haha!]) at the back of the beer tents on a couple nights, hardly ever surfacing for air. I had to shout him out to get his attention; that's just how dedicated he is, unselfishly serving beer after beer without being able to drink any (I couldn't do it!).

Good morning folks, starting to feel the onset of Bluesfest Burnout - last night was one crazy night with Drake and then GBS. I am glad that Celtic Sea has a gig tonight as I am relaxed onstage while performing and at least get breaks between sets (unlike in the beer tents) but having said that I am looking forward to my shift tomorrow night at the Subway tent with some of the people I have already met and worked with.
@Mr.E - very kind words and it was truly my pleasure to meet you. I doubt people can mistake us though as you seem to have alot more hair on top of your head (wherease mine is just long in the back)...
Later folks I gotta play catch up on farm chores before 2nites gig.
