On This Day In Canadian History....

1746 - Sir Charles Knowles, 1st Baronet, appointed Governor of Cape Breton Island. He spent nearly two years as governor, complaining about the "confused, dirty, beastly condition" of the Fortress of Louisbourg and was largely engaged in repairing and improving the defences of the captured French fortress.

I'm pretty sure that "Laddie" is the correct term for a boy. Hence the shortened version you often hear a boy described as - a young lad.

Although, I just checked Dictionary.com and it says "Lassie" is the term for a young unmarried lady and to make it even more wrong, they're both of Scottish, not Irish, origin. D'Oh!

  27. If you want to go to bed early, I think the last 2 bonus words are 'Dublin' and 'Limerick'. 'shamrock' also works but does not give an entry.

Yes, I do know the limits LOL

The limit for the total number of friends is 5000 and don't send more than about 100 Friend Requests out per day, anymore than that the sever sees it as spamming and the Human attached by the hip to the computer tends to rubber stamp the expulsion order. :-(
