I was surprised to see some of the Buster's gang (you, Eden, & Curtis vs. Richard & Joe) split between two tables. (At least I think that's how you were split!)

ReplyDeleteWe do that every year, split our team in two, and our nemesis' "the Lawyers" have their own team also. That's how we done it for the past 15 years or so. Normally we also have Sue, but she was in Toronto for some symposium. But either way all the members of the two teams are current or former players of the "Tuesday Night Gang"
Everyone has the own specialty or niche of useless knowledge including myself (I was the only one who knew the James Franco answer (thanks to TMZ and/or E.T.) and Curtis was our saviour on all but one of the music questions (we all knew American Woman and no one knew The Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah)
Congrats on your team's efforts, if I recall correctly you guys actually beat us by 1pt which puts you in 11th place (84pts)....official results will be published on the website by Noon on Monday.

ReplyDelete@ Mr. Red -- Ha ha! My team "over-thunk" it to be a "gene" (they were initially going for a "rod" until I told them that was already a unit of measure). It seems that you need Curtis and me on your team next year!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm very surprised that you think we beat you (I don't think so ... we'll see in the final tally). I was more worried about getting a ride part way home so I did not stay after the games were concluded and had to leave with a team-mate.
In any case, many thanks to you, Mr. Red, about mentioning this trivia challenge and the Bluesfest volunteering in recent months. If it weren't for your announcements here, I would have missed some great experiences this year!
