ReplyDeleteP.S. Apparently CHEZ changed the bonus points to 2000 now but with a word like "oops", it seems that this "mistake" may have been intended (at least for a short time, to reward the nimble). We'll see if they take 198,000 points away from me in the next little while.

They claim that the word was selected in honour of the near 10% plunge in the DJIA yesterday afternoon.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you missed it as you really deserved to cash in on this fake "mistake" due to all your efforts supplying us with points. I say fake because CHEZ drew a parallel on air to the alleged mistake made at a U.S. bank trading desk yesterday in which a couple extra zeros in a sell order supposedly triggered the ugly market plunge (I believe that explanation is also false but that's another matter).
However, keep entering the codes ... the best way to get revenge is to win some good prizes from them!
One thing I have started doing is making sure I enter all the radio codes as soon I hear them on the radio or see them on the blogs. Too many times, I have put it off only to miss great opportunities and sometimes lose out on entering the codes at all (like when I fall asleep early and wake up after midnight). I created an HTML page on my computer that automatically logs into my or my wife's accounts with a single click, making point entry very fast. If you want to know how you could take advantage of this approach, let me know. I would suggest creating a disposable e-mail address on yahoo.com so I could send you the HTML text file that you can customize for yourself. (This offer is open to all readers here.)

ReplyDeleteYou are right about that! In fact, I have "hot-links" to their Facebook and Twitter on that HTML page I made for myself and use them a lot. What CHEZ doesn't realize yet, is they may be screwing up their advertising revenues by directly or indirectly letting all those codes freely exist on the social network sites. Why listen to their station when you can get the loyalty program benefits without spending the time or effort?!!
P.S. If I could funnel some of those extra bonus points to you, I would. I think K-Rock has something like that available.

This morning I was actually able to get through to Kiss FM for a 1 in 5 chance for a 4-pack, and wouldn't you know it, it went to a lady who said she would take her kids (that was the deciding question [who would you take?], and I could only take my wife and my good neighbours!).
